Kevin Bubriski è nato a North Adams (Massachusetts, USA) nel 1954. Ha studiato Belle Arti nel Vermont, alla Benninghton University. Come fotografo professionista ha esposto in tutto il mondo; le sue opere fanno parte delle collezioni permanenti dei seguenti musei: Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, e International Center of Photography, tutti di New York; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven; Center for Creative Photography, Tucson; e Bibliothèque Nazionale di Parigi.
Destinatario di borse di studio da parte della Guggenheim Foundation, del National Endowment for the Arts, e dell’Asian Cultural Council, Bubriski ha lavorato per nove anni in Nepal e ha documentato fotograficamente i propri viaggi in India, Tibet e Bangladesh. Autore di “ Portrait of Nepal” (Chronicle), che ha vinto il Golden Light Documentary Award nel 1993, e di “ Power Places of Kathmandu: Hindu and Buddhist Holy Sites in the Sacred Valley of Nepal” (Inner Traditions), Bubriski vive nel Vermont con la moglie e i due figli.
